VERY Proggy Trance Mix: LUNA TECH

Many many hours in the making, and now it is complete. I am a bit of a fiend and very neurotic when it comes to making my mixes. I want each transition to be purposful, and each track to be perfect.

This one is a treat and I am quite excited to share it!

Here it is:

Luna Tech

Just scroll down and press play.

1 Son Kite - Let Us Be
2 Antix - Chase
3 Frogacult - Back to the Woods
4 Lunaspice - Tixaan
5 XV Kilst - Pornblocker
6 Antix - Darko
7 Buzzmonx - Shift
8 Heliotrope - Hellion
9 FREq vs Spherical - Suzuki Sun
10 FREq - Return of the Masters
11 FREq - Spacechanger
12 Mondayz Millionaires - Coldies for Goldies
13 Son Kite - Let us Be (vocal sample)

Critical feedback is very very welcome. If there is something you think could be improved or is out-of-place, I would love to hear your thoughts.

read your bio on that web site, wow thats long (ofcourse skimmed some ) but its great to hear someone with a passion for progressive like me. Its a way of life

if you have time d/l my mix, it isn't my first mix, but it's my first really progressive attempt. I spent a long time on it like you did and I learned alot:

This is what im talking about
Great smooth mix, I'm not a big psy fan but this set got me thinking

The first 3 or 4 songs are perfect, especially for the trance community. They have psy underpinings but have colorful trancey feels. Tracks slow down for a bit then pick up again around 33 min. These are the kinds of sets I like; that showcase sounds not songs. What I mean is that when chosing your tracks you obviously dont just pick the pop tunes or the massive tracks to fill the void, you choose songs with certain sounds that you want to make your set have a certain feel. I respect that you wanted to stick to the progressive sound. I think if you added more standard psytrance to it I wouldn't like it as much. My only complaint is that I craved for a vocal melody. NOT A VOCAL SONG, but a melody that you could hang onto, something with a voice (if you know what i mean ) i dunno. but it felt like the set didn't have a real high point. Great well rounded set with a unique and cutting edge feel. I give it a 9/10.
keep it up

Hey thanks Metatron,

I know what you mean about the vocal aspect. It's hard to find that in the proggy psy sounds I am using these days. I have a few killer vocally full-on psy tracks, but again I was trying to stick to the proggy side of psy.

Your feedback was insightful, Iam giving yours a second listening to, I really enjoyed it last night, great mixing and the tracks were awesome. Iwill gat back to you with more though...

Huboldium, I will give your mix a listen too!

Its not bad, but I reckon Igor K's 'sounds of progression' mixes are stronger when it comes to prog-psy.

I've myself got a very similar sound to this (the darker, more intense prog) and i'll try to post a mix someime.

anyways mate, keep it up

I would love to hear one of Igor's mixes, can they be found online?

And I love critical feedback, so can you expand on how this mix may be weaker than his mixs? Any thoughts woul be appreciated as I am always looking to improve....
