Idea Eq settings on a Supersaw pad?

Hey guys!

Sorry for the "lame" question...but!

Just had my supersaw pad ready, and now i wonder! I usually dont eq my pads, cus i dont know how, but it had worked anyway. However i now realised that i need to do so in this production to make it fit and cut in the mix well.

So i was just wondering if someone could give me something on what freq. ranges i should work with, just to get me started!

I have been tweaking a a bit with my eq, but it doesnt seem to go my way.

I have made 3 osc supersaw pad on my v-station!

Or do you guys use any other "gadgets" on them?

Any answers are welcome!

Cheers
C

hey substorm what about some wide bandwidths on the lower and mid frequencies. Then a good boost around 4-6khz for some brightness and get it really soaring through the mix. Make sure you make some room for it in the mix though since supersaw pads are so rich in harmonics.

well, actually you need to cut the pad in the frequencies where you have your leads and your bass/kick. you want to hear it the most where you still have place for it as a supersaw pad is eating up a lot of frequencies and make your tune muddy...

that depends SO MUCH on the used sounds. it could be anywhere between ~60Hz and 22KHz but use a spectrum analyzer if you can't hear the frequencies.
