It's obviously sampling the theme from Chariots of Fire. I think Vangelis produced that but I could be wrong. As for the mix/remake/tune or whatever I got no idea but someone will surely know.

Most definite; it is Chariots of Fire by Vangelis. Not even a remix, it's simply the tv-chatter...

that's right, it's vangelis. If you liked that, I suggest you try Vangelis - Alpha. Pretty cool for an older track.
