Does anybody know of any places who are hiring right now? I have a friend who's in need of a job ASAP. He's having some difficulties paying off bills and has been having the worst of luck in his job hunt If anyone knows of ANY place that may be hiring (even at your own job), please please let me know. He's open to anything right now, whether its part-time, full-time, or off the books. He will even take something that offers quick cash, but still prefers a steady pay check. And if anyone's interested or would like to help out, he's a great henna artist. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone have any suggestions. Thank You.

There's a crapload of retail jobs out there right now. Whole Foods is always hiring as are Century 21, Old Navy (and the sister stores), Limited brands stores, etc. Nordstrom has almost 4800 job openings nationwide. If he has customer service experience, he might want to apply for Marriott, they have a lot of openings as well.

edit: He could also try one of the Workforce1 career centers, the ppl that apply to jobs through them have preference over ppl applying on their own. The one in Manhattan is in Harlem, tell him to check it out.

Not sure where he lives, but Columbus Square on the Upper West Side is opening with mad stores (some recently opened, soem still waiting to open...) nonetheless, tons of jobs available (Target, Whole Foods, Michaels, etc...)
