Been taking care of the baby all night and decided to be patient and do a mix while he sleeps a little bit. First one I've done in quite awhile, but am pretty happy with it.
I did this entirely using $20 earbud headphones so the EQs may be pretty ugly. I dunno. Can't really tell on these. My decent headphones are at work.

Ok slam it is
I'll download this to check how your mixing is coming along on Abletr0n...its been awhile. But tracklist wise...eeeeh sorry Dave, not my thing. Its not even that I dont like any of the tracks particularly (except maybe 6 lol) but I've just heard em all before. When I download mixes off TA (especially in DJ section) I look for stuff thats gonna take me somewhere I havnt been before, unless the tracks have been re-worked with some crazy shit in ableton or similar.
I understand also, that yer doing this for fun (who isnt) and yer not a fulltime DJ who is out looking for all this new shit.
Anyways...thats my slam

Thanks for the feedback.
If there was one thing I expected to be criticized, it was some of the tracks used. I mean, for god's sake, I put in a Tracking Treasure Down remix...hehe...shows my lack of new tracks. :-p
But you go have a baby and move at the same time and see if you have money to buy some new tracks, lol.
Yeah, I could be like 90% of the peeps on TA and just make mixes with tracks I didn't actually buy, but I think that's unethical and I try my best not to do it.
Anyhow, I agree, I do need new tracks. Like A WHOLE LOT OF THEM. One thing I want to do is give myself like $150 so I can just go through the various only music stores for like a week and just buy up new tracks that I sample and like. But that's gonna be awhile because I have a lot of catching up to do money wise.
I'm just more worried about programming right now. The flow man, the flow.

LOL, I gave myself $10 earlier this week. That's when I got the two Cicada tracks, Take Me Away remix, and Les Djinns.
I didn't even know if any of the tracks other than Take Me Away were popular. I just started scouring recent releases on Beatport in various genres and came across them and liked them personally.

Dave, nice job. Tracks are fine. Sometimes you want to throw in some familiar tunes for the masses who expect to hear them. Familar tracks or not, play what you love and look out for tunes that fit your taste and style. As you continue, you'll find your track selections getting harder to find as you fine tune your style. Everyones tastes are different.
