I have a legal live 5, and i wanted to install it on my laptop.

When you have to unlock the key, i chose unlock online, and a message came out saying that i exceeded the unlock limit and that i have to contact the support staff and send them my serial number too.

i sent them an email with all the necessery information, and i was just wondering if anyone had an issue like this before and could tell what the ableton staff does to solve this problem.

i sent it to them today, im hoping to get an answer today cus i have to run ableton tonight

anyone know if the answer posts on saturdays?

I know this may sound abit stupid but if you have baught it, need it tonight but it doesnt work then download a pirated version.

It's to stop you going and buying a copy then giving it to all your mates for them to go and install on their machines as well...

see...this is how they reward you for actually buying the software...its like they are asking you to dl it...

that thought occured to me too, but then again all my mates just download it and install the cracked version, i dont know - i wouldnt ask a friend of mine who has lets say a legal reaktor 5 to come over to my place and to install it on my computer. Id get the crackes instead or if i really want a legal one, than ill buy it...

I think some people are forgetting the reason prices are so high on software is because of the money the companies loose/spend because of people always just stealing it.
This is one of the only fair cases i believe.
