I was just testing reverb plugins yesterday. What I came up with was, that there are no good sounding light reverbs. SIR was the best, but it's far from light.

Do you think using the cpu-heavy reverb (roomworks i think) in cubase as a send effect would eat alot of cpu power?

Audioease Altiverb.
Not that light on the CPU, but absolutely the best sounding native reverb out there. It's convolution based btw.

Well acutally i have a virus rack and i was wondering if there was a way for me to make my comps audio pass into my virus, then back into my soundcard to get recorded, so i could use the viruses effects, filter etc. That would be awesome coz the reverb on the virus and the phaser are godly.
I have a m-audio audiophile 2496 soundcard....
