are they extinct? do they still use them in high schools? are dry-erase boards the standard now?

i've been wondering about this a lot lately.

They used to have them in a building on my college campus until they remodeled it last year. That was the last time I'd seen one, and come to think of it, I don't think I had a class with one through all of K-12.

Sometimes

I just graduated this year, and we had a mix at my school.

BUT then again, we used projectors a lot instead of chalkboards/markerboards.

Any kind of board is oldschool, IMO. Projectors were awesome.

wow, that's pretty slick... i've never even heard of those.

projectors are cool too, when the instructor can figure them out. in one of my classes last week the professor couldn't figure out the new projector that was attached to the computer desk, so he ended up pulling out the old-school lightbox projector from the back of the classroom.

is anyone a student at a high school that's still using all chalk boards?
