Sample/Music organizers for people with too many files?

So I went on a downloading spree (thank god for DownThemAll ) and ended up with hundreds/~thousand of samples. All of these files are basically new to me, and I have not had them for very long. So organizing is a logistical nightmare.

Most of these are in folders which are in subfolders, and so on and so forth. Lots of duplicate file names (kick.wav, snare.wav, etc) and I don't know most of their names because of how I downloaded them.

What can I do? I never got so many samples at once, and it's impossible to organize them well.

Any good programs designed for this?

test edit.

Windows can rename multiple files at once, but it might not be enough for you.
