professionals and amateurs

I was wondering if people had comments too when dj's like Tiesto or Armin van Buuren would send in a demo song on Trance Addict.
Sometimes I hear the best songs on the Producers-forum and people still have their comments on the bassline, kicks, percs and what not!!
Personally, I think it's all in the name.
When people hear a song and they know that,..say Tiesto, made that song.... than it's the best song already!! What's up with that??
A lot of the songs which popular producers bring out on single are low quality. Ok, it sounds good due to a mixdown in a real studio, but the music itself is amateuristic or just bad.
Listen to a song and judge it by its aspects,..sounds,ritme,build up etc. It's all about money and that's a bad thing, because know we don't get to hear the other great 'amateur'songs. Radiostations only want to play songs that bring in cash. $$$$
Luckily there are great sites like Trance Addict were we can share our home-made demos.
Thanks.

that is very old news. i mean does anyone honestly think that Tiesto - Traffic would had become such a hit if some skinny redhead guy named Greger Efraimsson from northern Sweden had made it?

hmm...

well u'd be surprised, these tunes by producers with small and basic mistakes can actually be picked up by bigger names, and engineered and changed.

The only thing required is that they start off with a really nice concept, and with atleast some amount of proffesionilism.

Take for example, Miguel Sassot - Empty.

It's a great track, but after being remixed by Aly and Fila, you get the idea about what sets the two apart. THe experienced guys usually have a tried an tested style or technique or methods etc. taht usually help make a ch00n sound much crisper.

not to say that i don't agree with you guys...

I thought it was Sean Deason aka Psykofuk.

If Greger is the true originator then I'd like to know this.
