So I came into work this morning and my colleague said that as he walked into the building, a birdie hit the window and fell to the floor. It was still alive and just as he was about to try and pick it up, thinking to himself "I wonder what I can do with this poor little fella", along came the birdie version of Superman...
"Don't worry, I'm from FLAP, I will take this little guy and hopefully we can get him back to health".
Scooped the birdie up, put him in a little carry case and tootled off on his bike.
Of course, those of you that know me, know I love all animals so this story particularly touched me and prompted me to take a look into the organization....

Wow, is all I am saying. They will be getting a Christmas donation from me!
*for those of you that saw me out this weekend, yes, this story also mashed my head a little. Birdie Superman. Fairies. Hmmm. |
Awww that is awesome! I love animals too and I'm so happy they have an organisation for the poor birds that hit windows. Happened to me before and, being the animal lover that i am, i took the bird home, brought it to the vet, got it back to good health and released it. Proudest moment in my life when i saw the little guy fly away!

I remember this one time when I was back in China. I was a little kid then, and a sparrow fell into a bucket of water outside my window and must've hurt itself, cuz it couldn't get out and it was drowning. I took it out and fed it a bit of food. It dried up and flew away, and I didn't think much about it. A few days later, it flew back, so i fed it some more food. From then on, it just kept coming back everyday. Eventually it started hanging around the trees outside my window and would fly right onto my hand to take the food.
Was kinda cool for awhile.
