I will be visiting your beautiful city this weekend sept 29 to october 3, and would like to know what, events, bars, clubs, and espeically afterhours spots etc etc etc.... i should hit. Not restricted to EDM but you know i want to experience at least one good house or trance night. Anyother suggestions of what i should do and see while im there would also be appreciated. thanks!!!!!!

if you choose to do something else, prog house at gecko and i believe the red room but they might have just regular house
saturday, you've got electro at gecko and house at the red room
for anything top 40 i would recommend hitting up granville street. caprice and the plaza club are supposed to be really good for that. there are also good bars there. the two parrots, the lennox, caprice lounge plays trance, good atmosphere there. the street in general is where many bars and clubs are, so you can just go straight there.
for afterhours, there is gorgomish on granville and smithe (i think its smithe, not sure). no alcohol there, but its afterhours and its open late

celebrities isnt really a gay night anymore. Sure there are gays there, but its more like a-place-for-straight-people-who-want-to-party-with-gays-and-pretend-they-are-hip-and-yet-totally-forget-that-once-too-many-straight-people-go-to-a-gay-bar-it-stops-being-gay kinda bar.

Haha. i did notice that there was quite a few straight people there, but they played some good house and the crowd was quite friendly. all in it was a good time. hit gilgamesh? or somethin like that for the afterhours and they were playing some good prog and electro. think i will have to take er easy tonight. thanks for the help really appreciate it. my friend and i are thinking of coming here to work for the winter as the northern alberta ones are quite cold and miserable
