I'm pretty sure it's free to receive messages (at least on Fido). They do that for this very purpose. I only pay to SEND messages.

i think its only with fido
but u pay to send and recieve with telus (at least thats what i know from my bills every month)
It really DOES cost $ to recieve msgs with TELUS........terrible, I've actually recieved quite a few msgs from them recentley and it costs mula................. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
