i dont think you can control the software with your decks, its like tracktor dj studio, not like final scratch or serato.

But, to be honest i liked pioneed dj soft alot! apparently theyr working on a controller for it

Ableton is nice too, i say check it out too!

The Pioneer SW doesn't run on Mac, which is a big no no for me.

Check out the new M-Audio Torq package as well (it's not released yet, should be out by the end of the month). This lets you use it standalone or be controlled by decks.

Ableton is, well ableton. It's not like any other DJ SW (because it really isn't DJ SW).

Serato or Final Scratch are what you want to be looking at. That Torq package looks quite promising but I'd wait until people have used it for a while so you don't end up wasting your money if it's not all it's cracked up to be.

Oh, the Pioneer software can't be used with turntables. as far as I know.

On the whole FS vs SSL argument, it seems liek people like Serato Scratch more because of the reliability of it and the free software upgrades.

All I have heard of this is that it is new. I don't know if anyone has reviewed it or if it is even out in stores yet.
