REVIEW: Oakenfold + Kenneth Thomas @ Dragonfly
hmmm how to explain. I wasn't planning on going to this, then milos got me into going. Thanks milos.
Got there at 10:30ish, had to go thru a small lineup (longer than usual) and through a thorough search by the bouncers....they seem to do that hardcore on big names. This time it was worse than a tiesto!
Then I got to the pay booth and my friend was working, so I got lucky and got a free pass!! way to start the nite!
Kenneth started out hard and stayed hard till the end. What a pleasant surprise. I danced up a storm to his music. So good! He was smiling and having a good time, interacting with the crowd. Some of the tracks kenneth played could easily be put in Digweed's sets, thats how good some of this selected tracks were...
Then i think around 12:30ish, Oakie came on and started harder than Kenneth. I had very low expectations coming into this nite from the comments on past performances....well i have to say thank for setting my expectations low.....cuz he blew me away and made me even happier.
Oakie played till 3ish and kenneth came back on till 4. Again he was non-stop good stuff. His beats slowed down around 3:30 but still very good.
The crowd was the best i have seen at dragonfly yet. Everyone was dancing, and at moments jumping crazy. The ladies were gorgeous to.
The sound wasnt too lound like past times ive been on wednesday, it was just perfect IMO.
I think overall this was my best experience at Dragonfly and Ive been to Tiesto, Glaude, digweed and some Top40 nites at dragon.
Thanks milos for making me come out. Cant wait to see your pics and videos.
If oakie and kenneth play like they did last nite at GUV this wkend. I highly recommend pple to check em out!!!
Got home at 5am, fixed up some problems for work and hit bed at 5:30 to come back in to work at 9.....rough day so far.....but it was SOOOOOOOOOOO worth it...
now today i feel ive been on rollercoasters all day yesterday, my body is still moving like music was playing! fun fun
