ableton/serato alternative

I've been buying wavs from digital stores for a while now, and am wanting to make a few mixes. I'm not looking for anything fancy like ableton or serato, I just want to be able to beatmatch and record effectivly and professionaly. My price range is between $100-$250, what would be the best program for this?

Uh

If you want to have vinyl control and control your WAVS with Vinyl timecode records check out http://www.djdecks.be its a cheap alternative to SSL And FS + if you already have multichannel interface all you need is that program and few vinyl control records or CDs with timecode.

Because they like them better. I went through and added up all the cost including pre amps, a nice multichannel soundcard, control vinyl, ect... And the savings weren't worth it to me over SSL.

I cannot find alot of info about mixvibes. Any info would be great. The main thing is that i have already spent $500 AUD on a presonus firebox and im wondering if there is a way I can save money on not buying a scratch amp type box thingy maboby... you know what im talking about. My soundcard has three stereo outs but only one stereo in...
Gah! a firebox was a bad choice.

Check out the new M-Audio hardware/software deal! It seems sweet.

Iv been looking around and it looks like the best way to do this would be to buy ssl. With the m-audio I wont be able to use two outputs from the computer while using actual vinyls. With SSL im pretty sure I can. I think im just going to sell my current soundcard.
The m-audio is also usb 1.1 wich seems abit wierd to me.

Serao also usb1.1. The reason being: they don't need the extra bandwidth.

I've been using djdecks for vinyl control for a month or so now. After one days trouble during install, I removed then re-installed from scratch and it's worked flawlessly ever since. All up it cost about AUS$300 (US$240 I guess) including sound card with pre-amps (U46DJ - 4 inputs 6 outputs), SSL coloured vinyls and the software.
vinyl control seems just fine for me, though I must say I don't scratch so I've not tested that part. Built in effects pads, similar to a kaoss pad on each deck, a third deck that isn't vinyl controlled, excellent support, a very decent alternative at 1/3 the price of SSL.
I bought the soundcard and TC vinyls from thomann.de, they were very nice to buy from. Very helpful, one of the vinyls was warped so a bit difficult to use on one side, they shipped me another very quickly.
