Discovering classics late....

Hey everyone!

As everyone knows there are hundreds and hundreds of beautfiul tracks out there, so you basically can't just know them all...
I was listening to di.fm channel today at work (the vocal trance channel, that is) and I heard this one track that TOTALLY made my day.
I know it's a classic and it was very popular by the time I started to listening to real trance, but for some reason I never got to listen to it.

The one track I speak of is
Solid Sessions - Janeiro (Armin van Buuren Remix)

I could kill myself for missing this tune... especially since it's already 5 years old, but I am SOOOO happy I discovered it in the end^^.
But this has happened to me before, and to one of my friends,too... he heard Verachocha - Carte Blanche for the first time at Trance Energy this year

Has anyone else had situations like this?

Yup, I've done this countless times. You hear this awesome tune, do some reseach, and...

Fuck, it's six years old?

If everyone in the world stopped making music today, I could still spend my lifetime catching up.

Recently found:

Hollis P. Monroe - I'm Lonely > It's like Emo House but if you take it for what it is it's a classy track.

Sister Bliss - Sister Sister > Really gets the most out of the notes and loads of layering/ cool sounds.

Jean Jacques Smoothie - 2 People (Mirwais Extended Mix) or (Mirwais Radio Edit) > Great loop, cool fx - suits the 'Smoothie' Name!

Aretha Franklin - Respect (Jonathan Peters Remix) > Real bangin' house remix of Respect. House that's hard but not Hard-House (e.g. Stonebridge - All Nite Long (Stonebridge Mix) and Taiko - Echodrop (Jonesy Remix)!

I'm stuck at the turn of the millenium and proud of it.

There is more information printed daily in the New York Times than a person from the 17th Century could read in a life time.

If you're bored and want to listen to samples of some older tunes head over to the Identified Tracks Forum on TA.

...chances are if someone went to the trouble of cutting it out of a liveset in order for it to get ID'd then it should be somewhat decent (most of the time)

(Click to stream an mp3 sample)
