Ableton - simple yet extremely annoying problem

Okay so ive just made the switch to live 6.0 and im running vsts z3ta+ and pro-53. Now the annoying thing is when im using either of the vsts, as soon as i press stop they default to a certain preset. I have no idea why? And its funny that its happening on both?

Has anyone encountered something like this before? its really shitting me.

in the effects rack at the bottom of your page there is a drop down box that has presets in them right?

make sure there isn't 1 preset selected in there and another selected in your vst (they are supppose to change together but sometimes don't)

also how are you cycling thru your presets ? mouse? keyboard? in the vst? in ableton?

thx

Double click on the midi clip that's being affected (the one that the VST controls). You will see drop down boxes. Make sure they are set to none.

Don't worry it's a common annoyance when you first start using a program with VSTs
