hey all

i'm thinking of heading to israel for a holiday or even a permanent move in the next few years.

i've heard from some friends over there that the israeli trance scene is very much happening, with lots of clubs playing what they call "house" (more mainstream trance) and plenty of underground psy and goa events.

wondering if anyone here has been there and has the scoop. ie, will i be sitting in crappy clubs with missiles raining down on the roof and listening to electro remixes of the police academy theme (don't laugh, they play it in indonesian clubs all the time) or enjoying quality music in a good setting? what is the legal system there like regarding clubs, events, (eg are police constantly raiding clubs looking for drugs, do clubs close at 12 am or anything like that) and how prolific is the dance scene there?

its mainly a production forum website but there are people who can answer those questions. from what i hear from my israeli buddies that thing about "house" as you call it is pure bs...mostly psy over there and everyone's very nice about it. and no you're not going to get blown up dancing in a club, outside of the conflict regions israel is very safe and peaceful.

Still trying to get over the idea of the Police Accademy theme in any other format than what it is...

All the Israelis I have met in India seem to be especially into their Psy trance but there is a strong scene there.

Can't give you specifics though.

hey , i from israel
we have a lot of psy trance parties
in the desert or at the forest :] i mean every weekend you can find partis like this but you need to know the right people to get in to them

the others genres like trance or house you can find at the clubs
depend how old you are ... 22+ you have good clubs here , under 22
is more hiphop and dance

believe it or not go to mexico its the same sort of situation for the scene...i lived in monterrey for about 5 years and they throw massive psy festivals and parties in the middle of nowhere. i remember one year someone threw a psy festival on this mountain right next to a oaxacan cemetary it was sick.

Yea, I actually love the mexican psy sound.. Really powerful stuff.. either place would be awesome to visit for a psy festival..
