Suggested Guidlines for Naming Your Mix
Myself and many others have come to the conclusion that this forum would be much better off with a couple of basic guidelines on the way in which you should post your mixes. I think we could make things much more organized would help everyone and make this forum much more manageable and far easier to browse. Thus far apart from the regular TA Guidelines and the No Radio Show rule, I have just one guideline.
- Here is a great way to name your mixes:
Artist Name - Mix Name (If Applicable) - Date (The format you choose) - [Genre]
As for the genre part, here are some suggestions:
- [Tech Trance]
- [Downtempo/Trip Hop]
- Progressive House
- [Deep Trance]
- [Tribal House]
- [Nasty Drum & Bass]
- [Pumpin' Techno]
Also, feel free to just add some descriptors rather than a genre if that suits your mix better. Stuff like:
- [Sunny Music]
- [Subway Beats]
- [Arabic Sunset]
- [Smooth Shenanigans]
Etc.
Again, I know many of you have difficulty deciding what that sound you spin is, but I think this sort of format will make this forum a better place and help people find what they are looking for. If you absolutely cannot decide on a genre or have no intention of picking one, leave the field blank.
