After the good support recieved for 'I Was Bee' , Oliver Prime is back for a second installment on Oxygen.
Once again, he has done what he does best. A bit of old-school goa/a bit of psy and some trance thrown in as well. This release is along the lines of prog-psy/goa.
Hesitated? - Excellent deep goa-style kick with a very groovy synth.
The breakdown is extremely atmospheric and sounds very psychedelic-chill in places. Great stuff 9/10 Listen
Blown Cover - My pick of the two.I just love the intro. All those gurgling goa sounds really hit the spot The kick goes much deeper on this one and the breakdown is a tearjerker. Things really start to kick in after the breakdown when that awesome bassline returns.
Very unique sounding. Full thumbs up to this one. - 9/10 Listen
With two superb releases in the pipeline, Oxygen are on top of their game.
Hesitated? starts off really good and punchy, but then that typical Oliver Prime melody comes in which we have heard on every track of his so far.
7/10
Blown Cover, has an intresting intro which makes this track very versatile, the track kicks off into this typical Prime bassline.
But that piano breakdown is to simmilar to the pollenflug interlidium of I Was A Bee for me.
7/10
Both tracks are brilliantly done, but the thing is there is nothing 'new' and nothing that really stands out.
Nothing Beats Mind Games.

I agree with the above one. They are both good tunes but sounds nothing new. IMO Olivers best are Velvet Sunshine and Lilavo Dvijenie
Prime is one of my favorite trance producers at the moment. His basslines, the creativity he brings to his music, is what separates him from the other run-of-the-mill gang. He brings trance the way it's supposed to be: deep, hypnotic, eerie, and dark. I have yet to be disappointed by a Prime production. I enjoy both tracks very much. Solid for building up a set.

i think hesitated in particular sounds a bit too similar to other recent work but thats alright in a way because i love his recent work i prefer blown cover, think its a bit "newer", i would probably prefer it without the piano bit but doesn't matter, great tune!

Both tracks are great, I enjoyed Blown Cover a little more though.

(Just heard these)
Blown Cover I wasnt too keen on, but I love Hesitated. Its one of these melodies that isnt repeated all the time every xxx beats, but flows very nicely and changes constantly while keeping its original structure.
