Jelo in Taiwan! Masago Review..
When Jelo first hit the decks at 9pm, there were maybe 600 partiers standing/sitting around acting all cool and shit around the dancefloor. There was a free babrecue on the beach so there will still thousands eating.
DJ DAKAR came on the mic and introed Jelo and the 600 who were there went nuts. Jelo started his set with his remix of "Showtime". By the time he got to Soulwax "Miserable Girl", there were thousands jumping up and down.
Jelo's build ups were what really please the crowed. Flanked by huge video monitors, lasers, and massive lights, Jelo was his usual funny self, making faces at the cameraman so that the crowed could see.
When they handed Jelo the mic during his set, by now the crowed was jizzing, he said, "Hi Taiwan. I've come all the way from Toronto to kick your ass." Of course the crowed went even more mental.
Jelo could see that the crowed wanted a fun time. He played classics like, Rick Groove "Double 99", Plastikman "Spastik", DJ Icey "BBRR GO GO"
Jelo also played some great new tunes like my favorite "Old School Love" by Devine Brown and the new Trentemoller track which I cant remember the name.
Highlights uncluded the sexy Spunite Girls dancing on Jelo's right hand side and the crowed going absolute bonkers when copies of his "Jelo Live at System" were handed out.
Several of the Taiwan DJs were watching on at the booth and cheered when Jelo dropped Freeform 5 "No more conversations."
Jelo got the job done. He started with a crowed waiting, and finished with a crowed whooping.

Canada's DJ Jelo played a frenetic funky house set, determinedly building momentum despite the crowd that had yet to reach its peak. Masago was the impetus for Jelo's first trip to Asia, and he made sure to infect us with his upbeat energy, often shouting out on the mike, and giving away free mix CDs.
