Dunno Can't sign into AIM or email, but my internet works fine otherwise...?

Not sure if anyone can help me with this. On Friday I restarted my computer after a virus scan and for some reason my AIM wouldn't sign on. My internet works, but Everytime I try and sign on AIM it says "AIM Service can't be Reached"

also, I can't sign into Hotmail or Yahoo email accounts. Its just says "This Page Can't be displayed"

otherwise, my internet is working fine though. Any ideas? Thanks

p.s. this may have nothing to do with it, but when my virus scan was done running, I randomly checked a few things to be deleted that Borton didn't reccommend to be deleted. not sure if that could be why.

I would suggest restarting your router, if you have one. If that does not, then I am not sure what the problem is.

Re-install AIM. Maybe you deleted some of the files needed to run the program.

But try Polt's suggestion first.

thanks for the help...

restarted the router....did't fix it.

I reinstalled AIM and it didn't fix it either.

Is it possible I accidentally messed with a security setting that is restricting access?

my email accounts still don't work either...

Perhaps there is a security program blocking AIM but I don't know about the e-mail accounts. Maybe they are under maintenance, but it would be highly unlikely having both accounts under maintenance at the same time.
