Thumbs down Banks n their overdraft BS!!!!!

THEY JUST GOT $153.86 FREE!!!!

thing is, last sunday when i last used it, i checked the atm...had 15 something dollars in it...
in the club i purposely went over it, i didnt mind going over once cuz i know i was going to have a good time anyway...but that ended up kicking my ass!! cuz i was in the negative when i didnt know it ..STUPID ATMS tellin me i have cash!! ITS A CONSPIRACY!! *my fault i suppose*

i want to get rid of my atm now

and just cash my checks and use the moneys the old fashion way

/end rant

***The fee for overdrafts is $33 per transaction***for my bank that is

Its when you have non-sufficient funds...and when ur in the negative, and spend money...they charge u 33$ even if you buy a stick of gum..

Overdraft?? Oh like that 1000$ or whatever that allows you to " borrow " money just incase you need it, but then once you put money in the bank it subtracts it?? I think I have that, but just never used it.

i know EXACTLY what you mean, that same shit happened to me this week. My bank statement said I had 5 dollars left in my balance, so I got 3 dollars in gas and something else that cost 75 cents. Each were two different transactions. The fee for overdrafts at my bank is 20 something dollars and I had to pay 55 dollars for those two purchases. Weak shit I tell you.

these fees are being challenged over here these days... They claim it's a paperwork charge, but can't prove it's costing £25 or so a time to do so, to the point that where most people challenge them & get rid of them as a rule. I try not to go overdrawn myself, I have an arranged overdraft of £10 (about 20 usd) and I like to stay in the positive side of 0 still, and i live on a very minimal budget (think once worked out i get in a year what Neo spends in 1 or 2 months)

Yeah... how dare they charge you for taking their money after you signed a contract that said youd agree to do such a thing should you ever overdraw.

ahh never thought of that...good stuff thanks...ill keep it in mind

use a credit union.

They transfer funds from my savings to checking if I 'overdraft' and never get charged.

btw. You should what you have and what you spend and know where you sit.

Its not the bank error that caused the overdraft, its called user error.

I don't understand, how people can't manage their own bank account, without hitting overdraft. Either, slow down on your spending, or manage your bank account and credit accordingly. It's not that hard.
