man that was unreal !!!! from the top of my head : salt n peppa, a tribe called quest, de la soul, rakim..... and he closed his set with daddy yankee - gasolina. thas my favourite song that i like to listen while im in cuba and hearing it last night was so awesome i cant explain it.
he was digging deep, playing songs that i didnt hear in ages, so many bootlegs that i never heard of, so many songs that i never heard of....
his hip hop was old old school, and from time to time he would drop some of the new-ish, pimpin stylez hip hop.
his breaks were so funky, it was totally new level of funky shit.
people poppin and lockin on the left, people breakdancing on the right, people making out in the front.... i've been to lots of parties but this one takes the award for a party with the best, illest, funkiest vibe ever.
around 2 i gave up. music was so good, im at loss of words to explain it. i was just standing there, nodding my head with this biggest grin on my face ever. please, try and understand this, the music was SO GOOD, you had to share it with others. so many people walking to each other, in total disbelief, saying stuff like "wow, i cant believe this" or "man this is too much" or " whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking hooooooooooooooooooo".
bambaataa destroyed elmo. and with it he destroyed many people last night. best party ever, easily.
but thats not all. robb g dropped his best set ever imo. perfect opening for bam.
and THE CHU was amazing, like usual. fuck, we have some of the best breaks dj's in the world right here in toronto.
whoever wasnt there missed out so much, you have no idea.
