For me, Lenny Henry is up there. Seen plenty of his stuff on tv and he's usually fantastic, saw him live a few years back (So much things to say) and he was extremely good. Only about half of the show was designed as a comedy and the rest was serious, it was more of a one man show than stand up. But he was bloody excellent.
