The track both of them sample, from 1991. Never heard that Hydro track before, but it's nice enough. I have always had a soft spot for Fiji though, ever since I heard it on A Higher State of Euphoria, when it was just credited as "Atlantis - Fiji". One to get the glowsticks out to.

yeah fiji is a bit of a classic, the vocal is great for trance, really fills the room up whilst still allowing space for the synths.
it's on my top 5 list of trance tunes that I'll play at an afters at some stage

This thread has made me dig out A Higher State of Euphoria again. I bought this when I was 13, one of the first trance compilations I ever owned. The second disc blew me away when I first played it:

I remember the almost religious fervour of the inlay notes making me desperate to turn 18 and go out clubbing to trance. Funny how times change.

Atlantis vs. Avatar - Fiji is the best of the bunch, no doubt about it. I remember it from Oakenfold sets! Fortunate to own the vinyl, too.

I think Oakey play Hydro - Utopia a lot more than he did Fiji, at least on his EMs from back then.

It's all about Binary Finary's remixes of Fiji. Lovely stuff.
Yes indeed Oakie played Hydro - Utopia (in most tracklists its called Kelly & Lee - Only You).

Also worth mentioning is The Digital Blonde's cover. Sample here:

Fiji is a bomb, used to love when Van Dyk dropped it in the late 90's.

Ahh Fiji, I have the double pack promo on Inferno, would love an original release or even promo of it though. One of the few older trance classics I'd never get bored of.

Still a classic.

The older Euphoria compilations are very good, shame the series went down the absolute can.
