Listening as I write:
Wow! Isn't that a nice, crispy, boomy kick! Lovely, the other digital elements are mixed superbly. So far, the mix has an excellent bite.
The bassline doesn't take away too much from the kick at all and still gets the job done... wonderful. What tools are you using for mixing, cuz you know what you are doing. The hats themselves are skipping right along, and the melody is, well... I must confess, I haven't heard the original.
I'm appreciating the high quality mp3 here. The melodies and pads are very ethereal in a more bright beach way. It's a melody that doesn't give itself away, and and is not as clear as most trance makes it out to be.
And now for brief breack... there's this real squeller for a synth barreling into the mix. It's like acid on acid... literally, the dist and scream is almost too much for me until that AWESOME filter effect came into play. Now that, ladies and gents, is phat.
And the melodies and arping leads come to play once again, and I'm thinking that I don't hear much of this kind of trance. It's proggish, has an epic bite, the kick is boomy and the bassline taking a higher spotlight. The song structure is not melowdramatic.
Good mix, bud. Can't wait to hear more from ya.
