Adding a Midi controller?

Ok i just got a midi controller (M Audio Oxygen8 V2) for producing and im wondering if there is a way i can make it so that if i press one key it has a certain vocal/SFX assigned to it and it will play. So i can spice up my sets a bit i have seen it done before but have no idea who its done.

so in short: i want to assign a certain SFX to a key and when i hit that key i want that SFX to play.

how do i do that?

Thanks for the help

Sry if this is in the wrong forum i wasnt sure which forum it should be in.

Simple, you need to have some sort of audio program running on a laptop/computer, such as Ableton, Reason, Logic, etc. Just assign various keys to trigger whatever sounds you want.

been a while since i've played with reason. but if you can load your vocals into a sampler module, assigning a key or button to that trigger should be as simple as a few right clicks. you may want to also consider a low-latency audio interface.
