OK I don't usually do this but I must say that guy is fucking awesome...Sooo underrated IMO. I'm not up on my IDs as of late but there were some nice darker melodic tracks with plenty of energy. The crowd wasn't that big (but it wasn't dead either) but everyone was loving it. Definitely a nice turnout for it being like 6 am heh. Seriously one of the best sets I've heard in a long time.

I think I saw JooF the first time he was here for 2-3 hours or so and I could only ID 2 tracks.

He plays great different shit.

That's cool though. He prob had a bigger crowd there then when he was here in Miami [2x]

JOOF rocked the dancefloor as usual! This was a trance lovers dream set! The crowd was a little thin, but considering this party was on the same night as Oaky & co at Space, not to mention the live broadcast on myspace with tons of interent promo.......You get the point! The Hard Rock casino is a 24 hour party mecca, suprising so little gave this party a chance? Total shame, as IT WAS something fresh and original. Friction afterhours has potential, the question is.....Can Fort Lauderdale sustain an afterhours? Or do people feel drawn to get in their cars and drive to miami to dance till dawn? To be continued.....

Nothing compares to Space, its a world reknown super club....but thats in Miami.... We wanted to do this in Fort Lauderdale for people outside of Miami.... FRICTION has potential, just needs to be fine tuned.....3 times for 00? I knew Joof was here for winter music conferance, but then again who isn't?? I think the late hours (4am start) and possibably the venue hurt even us more than Oaky being at Space. Looking for other options i.e. better Venue for Alex Gold on DEC 16th, do not be suprised if we come up with something stronger next time around....As there is life outside Miami!

Not a bad idea to start an after hours outside of Miami. I would have liked to see JooF again but I decided to go to space instead.. heh.

We would like to obviously bring 00 back, but only when the night has been properly established...At this point we are on a quest to find the perfect venue that would give us a warm atmopshere. Gryphon was our first choice, and who knows, maybe we can twist their arm for Alex Gold on DEC 16th??? Otherwise we are in contact with a few different places. Many great clubs and events struggled at first to find their identity. Joof gave us some words of encouragement last night...He said he had witnessed many great clubs and events start off slow (with hardly anyone there for the first number of parties) and then they become something magical, we can only hope; That is what we are doing, laying the foundations for something bigger and better....Stay Tuned!
