Needs help.

I just needed to know what the best equipment to use is...I'm broke and I wanted to start DJing, could anyone here tell me the basics of it all?

If you really have no money, and your computer can handle it, I would start off fiddling around with a program like Traktor. It will allow you to mix mp3s on your computer. I believe you can download a free demo (or obtain it other ways). This will give you an opportunity to see if mixing is really something that you want to invest in - the gear is not cheap.

As far as hardware is concerned, if you go the standard hardware route you will need a mixer and two input source (viyyl or cds, there is a thread aobut this). If you decide to go this route it is advised to not buy cheap gear to start with, you'll end up spending more on better gear later.

For a basic cd setup many have gone with 2 Pioneer CDJ-200s and a basic 2 channel mixer, like the Pioneer DJM-400. I am not sure about which turntables are good.

Even getting the basic setup I posted above is fairly expensive and if you have absolutely no money,you're gonna have to wait a long while to afford any of it.
