The girl should be tortured, her legs cut petrol poured in the open wounds, have her kneecaps fucking beaten with baseball bats, deprieved of sleep for days, starved, made to fucking beg, she should be left in a room full of fucking shit and get pissed, then stabbed, have someone put a 9 inch nail in her nails and hammered inwards, knuckles broken, also she should be electricuted, and fucking set on fire, then put out, then put in a mincemeat machine ALIVE!.

Anyone who kills a denfenseless innocent child, should be tortured and die in pain, a lifes been lost, you think the torment that the girls family, the father of that child must be going through, its a shitty world sometimes and theres plenty of scum like that around unfortunatly. The idea of a baby dying like that makes me feel ill, babies die of cot death, and diseases its shitty but it happens, but being stabbed to death by their fucking mother. I don't think anyone who does that should be protected by acts like that, its cruel, and digusting to think someone could do something like that to their own child, I think the girl must be fucking heartless fuck knows its not a human being that does things like that its a fucking creature.

And the Abortion debate could get involved into this but the kid was already born, poor little bugger having to go through that in its short life, I think its silly that no one noticed the girl was pregnant, I can tell when someones ate too many pies or when someones pregnant. Overall its just sad and shitty, like I'm supposed a Catholic but not regilious at all see I can't even spell the word properly, I would burn if I walked into a church, but thinking about Abortion she could of had one done, and to be honest if the child isn't going to be born with a loving parents then unfortunatly choices like that have to be made, or she hands the baby over to Social Services at least that way the kid could of been put with loving parents who probably can not have kids themselves but would raise that child as if it was one of their own, it would be hard on a kid to find out something like. But its too late very sad story that reminds me of the cruelity shown by that woman who left that man to die in her windscreen.

I go with the first opinion, but hey thats me! Although we are all so concerned about this girl being punished for this sick shit, we have to try and find out her motivation and what drove her to do this do such an innocent life, and to make sure it isnt allowed to happen again so easily!

lot of shit like this has been happenin lately.. kinda makes me sick.. people should take responsibility for their mistakes. not telling, unassistted pregancy, and ultimately murder, is not a good way to direct you life.

Perhaps we should be looking at why she did it? Why she felt the need to conceal her pregnancy for 9 months from everyone, then destroy the baby once it was born?

You can't ostracise people for having unprotected sex, condemn them if they consider abortion and then harp on about the abominable impurity of teenage pregnancy and not expect something like this to happen. I'm not saying that what she did was right, but she was forced into a desperate situation by society's backward concept of sexual morality. Shouldn't we be looking at why she felt so ashamed at being pregnant - too ashamed to tell anyone who may have been able to help her?

I don't know. It's a result of the prevailing morality in the society she lived in, in a way: inflict such guilt, such judgement on such a young person and this is what will happen. What she did was wrong, and refelected extremely poor judgement on her behalf, but I can sympathise with her in a way. From the second that egg was fertilised, she was condemned - no action would have been good enough. Having an abortion would have been immoral, raising the baby at such a young age would have been immoral and killing it was certainly immoral.

Why are pregnant teens often portrayed as such vile, immoral creatures? Why is there such a lack of understanding? I'm sorry, but if you want to oppose abortion and shun pregnant minors then you've got to expect things like this to happen.

(Note: this is not directed at anyone on the forum, nor specifically at Amercians, I'm just trying to make a point. I don't support infanticide, I'm just trying to demonstrate what judgement and guilt complexes can make people do).

It's a very sad story though, but we can't forget that there are two children involved in this and not one. I personally find it sickening that neither the school or her own parents noticed she was pregnant! And more to the point, as Renegade wisely pointed out, she should never have been in a situation where she felt she had to hide her pregnancy in the first place.

Unfortunatly I'm not as good as getting my opinions written down as Renegade it, so everybody should read his post again and pretend I wrote it.

I agree with Spad and Renegade. We have to look at the issue behind the issue. Even though i can't imagine how you can hide being pregnant from your parents, i think we should try to realize why she did it. Not yell about torturing her, but instead try to come up with a solution on how this sort of incidents can be stopped. After all, she wasn't the first to do it, and won't be the last...
