it's worth the drive to PR. my first time there. rev is awesome but that lighting and sound system is wasted on top 40. bummer, there's no vomit emoticon. PR was good nonetheless. barry and dennis blew the roof off. maria, sorry we missed your set since we were standing in line forever! great seeing everyone out. now i know why everyone has a great time at PR. can't wait to go back.

I really think the Rev main room has potential to be an awesome EDM venue... A really good looking room... Potential to create a really good vibe... But only if it was in Toronto. Certainly not enough EDM crowd to draw... though the numbers increase every year I've lived in the area.

IIRC, Rev is only open on Fri and Sat... Now Sun night, with DJ with enough draw (IE someone who hasn't been in T.O area never or in a while) plus proper promotion... Possibility?

Now for my review.

Arrived early as Maria started up some prog house goodness. Early hiccups in mixing, but settled down as she got into the groove. Some wicked tunes... I wanna know what was the ID on the tune when Barry was setting up the banner.

Barry played some party tunes. I was expecting full blown hands in the air trance but eh. Some tunes fit for a rave, awesome. Svenson & Gielen - Twisted (S&G energy mix) TUNE OF THE NIGHT. So didn't expect that one. Fun set.

Didn't stay long for Dennis's set but sounded like he was on his way to conjure up a storm on decks. That Tygon & Hahn remix of Nine Inch Nails tune sounded good! (When am I getting a copy of it? )

As usual, good to see the TAs out.

Joanna, you're such a vile temptress, trying to get me to dance when I'm injured (good thing I'm good at resisting temptation. All I have to do is put on my statue act)

Call up rob in the ambulance when were getting checked, to tell him whats up, and see if he still wants to go to Rev. The cop drives me home, its now 11:15pm after all this. Get in my car, drive to his house, then we get a drive to Rev. I have no winter coat cause it was in the flipped car, which I tryed to get out after but the doors were locked and I wasn't really thinking to get my friend unlock them lol. So wait in line for 15minutes, and were in.

Wicked fackin tunes! Barry, you were goin nuts man! Pure into it, and sik fackin tracks man! I was goin nuts! Dennis man, awesome fackin wicked stuff! Everyone was losin it! Thanks again for the drink man, props.
