Why are there certain sounds/synths that continue to play, holding out the same note for the rest of the song? lol How can you cut up the sample and get it to stfu?

for individual sounds, are they looped? or have u checked cut itself?
for synths, there could be several reasons..like envelope issues and such?
you should be able to write a patch called, stfu. it will adversley effect the synth's E.G.O.

it's like midi.
when you select a note to play outside of the piano roll, the synth recognizes that as "play this note now". however, theres no specified time for it to stop so it keeps playing.
others dont do this because they are samples and only last for a certain amount of time. ie: drums

if you're using looped samples, just uncheck the "use loop points"
and if you're using the step sequencer for synth, just don't,or just use the envelope

Step Sequencer = bad if you're not using one-shots. Bad.
