Altitude -Excession messed up bpm

Okay this is driving me nuts! I bought altitude -excession from juno.co.uk and its the one record that seems to change bpm in the intro of the track. The big problem is, that when you mix, you kinda use the intro. I tested this a few times and noticed that the first 16 or 32 bars the bpm is fine. A few bars before the wicked uplifting sound, the bpm ****ing changes to be slower. WTF!!!!!!! Its so annoying cause im mixing this in and its all fine for the 32 bars, the beats are matched perfectly, now after that the record just slows down, i dont know why!!!

Any advice? should i send it back to juno?

Don't send it back; it's the track. My copy does this as well and I got it from a record shop, not juno.

You just have to be careful with it, and adjust on the fly as needed. Once you get it right, just think: if you can mix this track, that actually changes tempo, you can mix anything!

How is it possible to slow a RECORD down while it's spinning??
I mean like how did they do it when they pressed them??

The only thing I can think of is that when they cut the original dubplate the platter got slowed down for some reason while it was spinning. It can't be anything to do with the way they were pressed; they just get a lump of soft/melting vinyl and stamp it with an inverse image of the original.

I don't think my version has the Blackwatch Dub on it - I never play the B side, but I can't be sure as I'm currently 200 miles away from my record box

Yes, this is the version I have. So if patticus has a different version, it must be the track itself, and not just a bad dub-plate cutting or something.
