i got today the rane serato scratch setup, and when i play the records i get this really high pitched background noise, does anyone else have it?
what is causing it?
i tried calibrating and all but still no results.

That is the control record's signal. I would make sure that you have all the cables setup correctly and check whether you have line or phono selected in the settings.

Is it coming through the actual speakers itself? If so, check that your line/phono switches are set to line and that all the cables are connected correctly.
If it's just a faint high pitched noise in the background, it's the timecode itself coming through the needle. To get rid of it you just have to turn the music up a bit louder!

it was coming through the needle.
