TANNEN - 'I LIKE PORNO'
[Baroque Limited - BARQLTD014]
A: Original Mix
B: Nick & John Dalagelis Mix
Tannen is the irrestable combination of STEL & PHATJAK… two of Greece’s hottest exports! Here on 'I Like Porno', they turn in a drum led, bass heavy track, teling you exactly what they like, whilst on the flip fellow Greek counterparts Nick & John dalegelis take the track down a pure progressive heaven route! Supported by Deep Dish, Dave Seama, Steve Lawler, Danny Howells, Danny Tenaglia & Eric Morillo.
MUZ & MANN - 'BACKSEAT BANDIT EP'
[Trojan Records - TRJN604]
A: Backseat Bandit
B: Panik
Muz & Mann is the dynamic duo of Canberrans Vance “Muz” Musgrove and Mikah “Mann” Freeman. With well over a decade of DJing and production experience between them, the pair is making some big waves in the Aussie dance scene right now, and the ripples are starting to spread even beyond our shores. Muz & Mann first started writing together in mid-2006, and it wasn't long before their first production was signed to Hussle/Ministry of Sound. This EP here for Luke Chable’s Trojan imprint is a devastating tech elec anthem that has had the likes of Sasha, Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, John Dahlback featuring them prominently in their sets as of late.
KEITH MAC - 'CHILD'S PLAY'
[Baroque Records - BARQ065]
A: Original Mix
B: Innate Edit
Baroque Records boast a long and impressive discography, with some of the hottest artists around gracing the label since it's conception at the turn of the millennium. At the helm of the project is Keith McDonnell, and while he's best known for his label management, has also been known to grace the production studios himself. 'Child's Play' is a tough & chunky house-e affair, and comes to us with an edit from Keith's alter-ego, 'Innate', with a selection of DJs such as John Digweed, Desyn Masiello and Hernan Cattaneo supporting both mixes.
QUARTZ - 'ORANGE'
[Wildchild Records - POOKY006]
A: Orange
B: Tzumbae
Wildchild are carving out quite a niche in the trancier end of the prog market, and this latest release comes from Quartz (also known as ADF).
One of Italy’s rising stars, his ADF work is constantly supported by Sasha and Dave Seaman, but these two trancier offerings have found their way into the record boxes of Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Marco V and John Askew amongst others.
LANK - 'COWBOYS AGAIN'
[Boz Boz Recordings - BOZ015]
A: Cowboys Again
B: Slushy Dub
As a DJ who spends much of his time playing in places like Eastern Europe, John Graham often stumbles across music from producers who often aren't that well known outside of their home countries. Duskie J was one of these, and now Hungary's Lank is another, who makes his debut here on Graham's own Boz Boz label with a two track release, that draws upon percussive influences and big room sounds to create a 12" that fans of Quivver's own productions will no doubt embrace in a big way.
OCTAGEN - 'AIRBORNE EP'
[Conspiracy Recordings - CONREC010]
A: Airborne
B: Cruising
Octagen is rising Dutch producer Paul Moelands. Paul has had releases on nearly all the major trance record labels and we are proud to have him on board here at Conspiracy. Paul’s other alias is Re:Locate guise, which has seen him appear on Paul van Dyk’s massive The Politics of Dancing compilation and his Octagen project is becoming as equally massive, starting with these 2 beauties. While the A-side is a pumping tech-trance monster, the B-side is a track of beauty, in the style that Octagen is more familiar with – uplifting trance. The track has as much drive as Airborne, but with softer synths and pads to make it a dreamier affair. Cruising has had early support from the likes of Above & Beyond, Matt Hardwick and Conspiracy label boss Jon O’Bir.
