too late to buy the jp 80x0?

I have the chance to buy the jp 8080 synth rack, however I was thinking that since the supersaw sound is dying out and producers are staying away from that classic sound now .... maybe it is too late to purchase this classic gear. What you guys think?

I bought it 3 weeks ago. had the same thoughts like you. but I said to myself, fuck it, I love the sound and I want to experience with it a bit. even if it will die, it will come back even stronger later when people miss it.
That's my opinion to it.
Just do what you feel is the best. you can always sell it later if you don't like.

If it's the sound that you want, go for it.

he's right, you don't have to follow the latest fad. i've never used one, but you can probably get some unique sounds out of it still.

yea, it's good for them, but I'm having hard time using the envlope on it...it's really slow so it make annoying clicks...Roland says it was meant to be like that...but I don't see the point...I can get rid of them in a sec but then I lose most of the pluckish sound...then again only started learning, still got lots to learn.

betta for pads, jp80x0 pads never get muddy and always sound nice and clean. arp type plucks are kinda weak on it.

have u guys heard of the song "Radio Ga Ga"? it's an old song... but you can hear the song is a synth-driven song... pretty nice to listen to actually. it makes u waiting for the filter to be fully open, which doesn't happen hahaha...
