is it just my turntables or is there a space near(to the negative side of) the 0% light on technics 1210 mk2's where the tempo is widely different from the smallest change slower than it? if i'm mixing two records and one ends up being near the original tempo, there's a point where the green light turns off that the tempo drops alot more and if the tempo is somewhere in between those two points. should i just adjust the playing track's tempo or is this something i should see about fixing, if it can be, or what? and no i'm positive it's not actually me that is the problem, it only does this sort of thing when the tempo is right in that spot.

I have the same tables as you, and there is absolutely no noticible change in pitch when slightly moving the pitch slider from 0 to either the negative or positve sides. My guess would be that there is something wrong with your pitch.

Actually, you're wrong...


With mk2's you have to be careful when mixing near 0%. With m3d's you do not. You can fix this on mk2's by taking out the little ball on the inside of the pitch slider, but you have to know what you're doing because it's complicated and you can mess up the pitch slider. I recommend not doing it, and just not mixing near 0%.

Yeah it's quite tricky in the mk2's cause with time, that ball thing that sits in the 0% pitch mark wears down the function so bit in + - 0.5% becomes unstable...
Just take it top a fix, it's the only way you can keep using it @ + - 0.5

It's true that the 0% pitch mark may drift over time, but it shouldn't get any less accurate. The drift can be adjusted with a screw inside.
