a theoretical cure for viral infections
it may not be feasable now, but i believe that this way may be a possible way to cure viruses.
why not create a virus or something that specifically targets the specific viral infection based off the certain genetic make ups of the infection itself? a virus that kills another virus. hiv is always mutating. but certain genetic elements of the disease must remain constant, so why not "program" the man made virus to target those constant elements in the genetic make up of HIV, and destroy them?
essentially thats what the body's immune system does when a foreign disease enters the system, but diseases like hiv own the human body's t cells, rendering the immune system defenseless.
hiv would be the hardest to eradicate out of all the viral infections to do its complexity, but shit like herpes or hpv and other crap like hepatitis...should go down fairly easy.
IN theory.
just like getting plastic surgury, you're augmenting your immune system.
a "disease" that kills another disease. once the targeted disease is eliminated, why not program the virus to remain dormant? they do anyways naturally, until it's stimulated by whatever and becomes active again.
this is a very real way to combat viral disease, i believe this is the only solution to curing HIV...rather than how people take drugs to slow down the process. fighting fire with water, not fire with fire.
i was lying in bed this morning and this came to me. what do you think?
