Fiorello La Guardia was the greatest NYC mayor ever

The more I read about the man, the more I am impressed with what he was able to accomplish.

robert moses did alot for this city but he was a sick racist
alot of his parks are out in long island and he wanted them out there cause it was prodominatly white out there and he wanted it that way
dont get me wrong he did alot for this city with other parks and gettin bridges and stuff built but he was a racist i found this out the other day i was shocked

i said influential, not 'super-dooper awesome'

and much of his negative impact manifested itself in ways far more severe than building a few parks for whitey on long island...

all new yorkers should read the "power broker" by robert caro at some point in their life (though more recent scholarship is attempting to give moses a historical facelift of sorts...)
