so who's going shopping tomorrow???

i'm thinking about getting either a westinghouse 42" tv ($1699) or a samsung 40" ($1699)...both do 1080i.

anyone heard anything about westinghouse??? are they reliable? etc?

Never heard of it, don't bother with it. I bought an NEC LCD monitor and the quality wasn't so great. From now on, brand names only for anytime of products.

going to get a $10 dvd player at loblaws

Whitewesginghouse makes a lot of home appliances, and some electronics. I wonder if westinghouse is just a subsidiary of the former? Either way, they make average products.

Samsung makes the best LCDs on the market. So good that Sony licenses Samsung's technology for their own Bravia line.

PS - I will be working at the Futureshop in Vaughan from 5:30am-6:30pm.

Westinghouse LCD 27" was the #1 sold LCD TV in the US last year!

I have a 27" Westinghouse and love it! Haven't had any problems with it at all and would definitely buy another one.

Research the Westinghouse brand a little more if you want..but they are a great company and make a reputable and reliable TV
