This is a 2 part review.

I started the night by attending the pre-party @ MIA Lounge for Gerry Cueto. Originally he was going to play alongside Edgar and George but due to him feeling ill he was unable to make it to Spirits, but nonetheless delivered a great set (minus a few housey/electro tracks) at MIA lounge, much to the chagrin of some dumb old fucks who were bitching and moaning. Fuck those old whining prunes. One should have been in a retirement home while the other one shoulda been at a dentist. Gerry's tracks included:

After MIA Lounge I hit up Spirits. Got inside with Eddie G, who was supposed to fill in for Gerry. Kato K seems to be improving his opening sets at Spirits. After him came Edgar V who blasted his patented openign house set. Tracks that I could ID included:

After Edgar came George Acosta. Once again he played an outstanding, energetic, banging set. Tracks included:

Thank YOU so much for playing this track! The vocals are just GORGEOUS. Later on George and Edgar did a tag team session and continued throwing down nasty, energetic, high BPM tracks. Eddie G let George continue on selflessly. After the tag-team session Edgar V went on to finish off the night for us. It was non-stop madness tonight. 3 weeks in a row of good music, good times, and good people. Many thanks to Carlos (nfkted) for the Long Island tea. Drinks off the hook! Great seeing a few TAs make it out to this outstanding event. Trance is def. looking good early on in 2007, for damn sure. And the best part?

Next week, it's on like Donkey Kong again. Next week's lineup: Edgar V, George Acosta and Gerry Cueto.
