IMO both producers are incredibly ahead of the game as far as EDM is concerned. Just take a look at the releases on Kompakt, some of the stuff is eclectic and ambient (some dub tracks in there too) while other releases are completely rough, bassy and inspired by electro/disco/techno.
I've never seen Superpitcher dj live, so I can't comment on that too much, but I do have a live set from him and Michael Mayer b2b at Studio 88 and both of them tear it up. Michael Mayer I have seen, and live...wow, what an experience. He opened with his remix of Maps...and that's probably the only familiar track I was able to ID the entire set...it was completely unpredictable.
Kompakt is purely forward-thinking label and Michael Mayer + Superpitcher = ahead of the game
