Nice topic, I am a bit biased but I do prefer the Swedish counterpart. Although the french one got me truly hooked on house.

Prefer Swedish a hundred more times then French House.

I find Sinclar & Guetta too commercial and I find Solveigs music sounds like the soundtrack from one of Dad's 70's porn VHS's.

How can you mention French house without mentioning Daft Punk?

French House is Daft Punk, Alex Gopher, Etienne de Crécy, Motorbass, or even the new things coming on Ed Banger Records, like Justice...
Joachim Garraud makes more swedish sound imho.

swedish trance? like basshunter

no srsly.. I dont think that swedish trance scene producer wise is that great.. Okay they have Airbase who seems to be pretty popular on these boards.. and then ofcourse Antiloop used to make some pretty nice stuff..

is envio from sweden? anyway I think none of these make sweden as a good "trance" country

I think sweden is best known for their techno
and in the past few years their house production has pretty much taken over the world..

back to the topic: I would choose french house from the beginnning (when god created the earth ) until about 2003

and from 2003 - today swedish house all the way
