help with mix for art class! please
ok guys i need some suggestions on something....im thinking about making a "trance / whatever other genre you prefer" cd for my art class(we can play music thank god) now this music will be heard by everyone so i need to make it newbie friendly nothingy really hard(such a shame) but not cheese(cause cheese is well, cheese)
im not quite sure of what to put on the cd mainly because i dont know if some of the songs will bore people or be to "radical" for thier virgin ears...
i was thinking something along these lines
this is just a brief idea of what lines im thinking along...if you guys could suggest some song with similar feel to them that would be great
thanks a bunch

i think what really appeals to people who arent into electronica is uplifting/epic trance. stuff with signing in it. dont put anything progressive or tech(sorta) like tiesto flight 643. this is how i got my friend into trance, made him a couple mixes with straight uplifting and epic trance, and now he is always asking for cds
btw:
you might even want to put some older classics, from 1998 or 1999, cuz all those people in the class who never heard trance before, wont know the difference

DuMonde- Never Look Back or Memory
Iio- Rapture (Riva or AvB Remix)<-Flame me all you want but this song is just hitting the radio waves around here and you'd be the first to have remixes
I found that Americans tend to like songs with lyrics/singing in them so you might want to stick to vocal trance. I would definately add Ferry Corsten- Punk to it also.

Laugh, I know what you mean. When people have asked me to play this I just say 'Which mix?' and they don't get it. Or ask them if they want to hear the Riva mix and they'll ask 'What is Riva?'
Anyways, yeah, stick to good uplifting vocal stuff. Above & Beyond remixes are good, I.E Aurora - Ordinary World (A&B Mix), Madonna - For a Girl (A&B Mix), even possibly Ayu - M (A&B Typhoon Dub)
Hope this helps.

Yeah some Ayu or E.L.T. might be good, since it's art class there's probably somebody in there that's into Japanese culture/anime.
