if you find a weather machine, send it to tahoe because we are hurting out here.

I have only seen snow twice in my life. Once in Amsterdam in 2000, and once in Lancaster, UK, in 2001. Both times there was ONLY JUST enough snow to make a few snowballs.
And do you have any idea how excited I was by that?
EDIT: It's 8pm here in Brisbane, and approx. 27 degrees celcius (80 deg. Farenheit)

wow. i can't tell you how much i take snowfall for granted now. i'm 25 but i still feel like a kid everytime it snows.. 3 years or so ago i experienced my first white christmas (god that sounds like a good porn movie title..) and it was fucking great. i had 40 relatives at my house and no one could go home til like 4am usually when it snows, everyone here always freaks out like omgaaaaaah how'm gonna get to [work/bank/store/etc]!!!!!!!!...kind of annoying how people can't just chill....i wish people would see it like "sweet, now i just gotta chill at home and watch the snowfall. awesome."
one year, the electricity went out for 56 hours when i was about 10. it wasn't wintertime or anything but, it was just as awesome as a blizzard (almost)

Global warming has nothing to do with eastcoast not getting snow.
If global warming was an issue, there wouldnt be any snowstorms in the central US and the slow coast.
Its the El nino or whatever the jet stream is called that is at fault.
not that i really wanna get into it at all, but are you by chance one of those people who doesn't believe in global warming or just calls it climate change?

haha that was so cheesy i lol'd.
i do want to experience one hot christmas tho it's always been my dream to come to Oz in december/jan for a month. my dad actually spent most of his youth in Oz, in adelaide..(i've never been..yet.) he always loved the weather down there and would have still lived there were it not for the vietnam war draft forcing him to escape the country and subsequently move to the US. (it's really quite weird having to thank the vietnam war for my existence )

Fuck, I think Adelaide will get hotter than here in the summer. Less humidity though, and frankly that's the killer.
On the upside though, Brisbane gets WICKED ASS electrical storms in the summer, from the hot/humid days. Hammering rain, harsh winds, hail, and all the fun stuff Love it
