Moving from LA area to tempe area and just a bit curious on the nightlife. From what i hear it's not that great and I just don't want to be bored for the next couple years

I would love to know this myself. I grew up in Tucson but went to college in Honolulu, now it looks like I'll be moving back to Scottsdale.

So eh... bump.

I live in Scottsdale, they have an edm night every friday, house 7340 at club Myst.. pretty much every one has played there since they started it two years ago.

i actually live in queen creek!! i don't know why in the world i said i live in scottsdale, i lived in scottsdale before i bought this house in queen creek.. but anywayt its late.. about markus shultz, i think he used to own a record shop here..

As far as club Myst is concerned, thats good to hear. I will most likely be moving to Scottsdale in the next year myself.

The AZ scene sucks to be honest. It's all poppy house music mixed with hip-hop at the "clubs". If they have a featured DJ, maybe you'll hear a decent set for a few hours but I've been pretty disappointed since I moved here from Chicago.

If you just like the music though (and don't care about dancing) try Suede or Drift in Scottsdale.

so there's good music but no dancing at those clubs?

Yeah at those two. You can always go to Myst, Axis, Devils Martini, e4 if you want to dance but again, most of it is pop-dance music mixed with hip-hop.
