Re: 1/8 Champions League Live Draw
FC Porto - Chelsea FC (25% - 75%)
I'm disappointed that either us or Mourinho's squad will be knocked out this early. Chelsea are obviously favourites but at our current run of form I actually think we could have a good chance, Quaresma is unstoppable. However, by February, Chelsea could be back at their best and we could've slipped a bit. The 2nd leg being played in London is also an advantage for them.
Celtic - Ac Milan (20% - 80%)
I don't believe Milan will still be performing this badly by February - and with the Serie A already lost, they can fully concentrate on the Champions League and win it Liverpool style. Celtic ocasionally show strength, but losing 3-0 at Benfica indicates to me they can also be very poor. Milan to go through.
PSV - Arsenal (40% - 60%)
PSV are dominating their league yet again, Arsenal are having a nightmare season in the Premiership and didn't look too convincing in the group stage (except for their home game with Porto!). However, the english(?) have lots of quality. Slight favourites I'd say.
Lille - Manchester United (20% - 80%)
Lille have the outsider factor, against a team who seems finally set for glory again this season. It has to be said Lille, despite having no real european experience, have several fairly underrated players and Man Utd could drop their form. But I don't think they will.
AS Roma - Lyon (35% - 65%)
A bit unfortunate that Roma, who have looked at times very strong this season, have to face one of the most powerful teams in Europe right now. This is the game I'm most looking forward to, apart from Porto of course.
FC Barcelona - Liverpool (70% - 30%)
Not the most comfortable opponent for Barça, Liverpool have loads of spirit - but have looked awful this season in the Premiership. Barça in normal circumstances should go through.
Real Madrid - Bayern Munich (65% - 35%)
Bayern haven't been convincing at all since Ballack left the club - they're struggling in the Bundesliga! Real have the Capello factor, I believe he really is one of the best managers in the world and seems to be managing the team very well. It's a risk, but I'd bet on Real.
Inter Milan - Valencia (65% - 35%)
As much as I like Valencia, and believe they can be brilliant at times, Inter seem very, very strong this season. I give the favouritism to the italians (argentinians?).
