I'm not sure if the track is still under construction, but the bassline sounds awkward. Change it

I'd have a look at the volume levels as well, because some of the synths are rather loud compared to the percussion. The track is very dreamy, I love the long and sad harmony, although some may find it annoying because of the sounds used. Some more depth and warmth would be nice, but I like most of the synths and pads the way they are. Arrangement and mixing need some more work though, as pointed out.

Nice, sad mainsynth! Gives it a dark and dreamy atmosphere. My only complain is how you end it, it destroy the emotion imo. Otherwise, a great track!

Hi There

well the track idea itself is good.

I would change the bassline, it sounds a bit strange, and sometimes out it seems out of rythm aswell.
I liked the pads! they where realy cool! the melody is good thought, but the sounds are a bit "raw" yet.

well considering its not finished, its nice looking forward to hear the final version

djads: thanks, I'm already thinking about changing te bassline...yes the sounds are still raw... I'll do something about it

Akia: glad for another kind review...you always seem to catch the feelings from the tracks you review...hope the sadness of the melody didn't get you depressed

hey booster.

nice warm sound from the start. i really like the way you vary the drive from standard 4:4 to a plodding 'half time' sound. a little refinement here and there will make this very usefull on a dancefloor.

break - introduce the strings earlier on imo. they kinda sound out of place cos of the way they just appear. main section. now everything sounds like it fits. and i like the melodies and synths. in my ears the track lacks a real structure/arrangement. so this lowers the professionalism of the sound. your mix is good to me. but i think you need a more dj/dancefloor friendly arrangement to match the mix quality.

overall you should get this finished. maybe take some bounces and use the samples to create a whole new arrangement?

rich

Thanks Rich,

yeah, the structure actually relies on 20 bars instead of usual 16 I only thought it makes it a bit more interesting...

btw...if a DJ can't count 20 bars instead of 16 he really shouldn't be a DJ...though I do agree that the structure is still a bit messy...I'll do some cleaning for sure but I'm not gonna change the 20 bar thing :-)

Needs more power, I recognise the synth from other tracks and it could be made allot more powerfull in this tune.

the bassline needs to be changed as said before. it seems to lag a bit. track arrangement seems out of place. liked the delayed sine tune at the begining, sounded a bit like joof. but on the whole except for the pads the rest sounds the same. try to make something different m8. keep it up.
